Nominasi dan Pemenang Oscar 2011

Karena selera orang, apalagi teman-teman gue, biasanya sangat subjektif mengenai film yang bagus, maka gue lebih sering mengandalkan daftar pemenang Oscar untuk berburu film daripada mendengarkan saran dari temen-temen gue. Walaupun film-film pemenang Oscar bukanlah “film untuk semua”, atau dalam arti kata bukanlah film komersial, gue tetap mengakui bahwa film-film pemenang (atau bahkan hanya sekadar nominasi) Oscar itu memang memiliki kualitas yang bagus. Entah itu karena jalan ceritanya yang kompleks, akting yang baik, atau sinematografi yang memuaskan. Dan walaupun hampir semua film-film favorit gue tidak masuk Oscar, toh gue tetap banyak menemukan film-film bagus (seperti Pan’s Labirynth, Up in the air, The Hurt Locker, District 9, The Blind Side) berkat bantuan Oscar setiap tahunnya. Nah, beberapa minggu yang lalu, daftar pemenang Oscar untuk tahun 2011 telah diumumkan, buat yang lagi bingung nyari film bagus dan berisi, daftar-daftar ini wajib dicoba.

Yang terbaik dari semester 3 (Part 2: Stuff)

Semester 3 di fakultas kedokteran gigi kurikulum KBK merupakan semester yang sibuk. Ya, semuanya tahu itu. Dan gue, entah bagaimana caranya, berhasil mengubah semester 3 yang mestinya sibuk ini menjadi semester super santai. Gue, di malam sebelum ujian bahkan menonton film Inception tanpa beban. Jam tiga pagi pula. Gue menonton seakan-akan dialog-dialog Leonardo di caprio akan dijadikan soal pilihan berganda di ujian esok hari. (oke, di semester berikutnya ini tidak akan terjadi lagi. Tidak akan. Ouch)

Ada banyak hal-hal yang membantu gue untuk menjalani hidup santai di semester 3 ini. Berikut ini adalah beberapa yang terbaik.

Best Movie : Inception.

Film ini sangat bagus sehingga gue ga bisa menemukan kata-kata yang pas untuk mengungkakpkan bagaimana kesan gue ketika menonton film ini. Memasang bintang-bintang film papan atas, jalan cerita yang ga biasa, dan efek-efek sinematografi yang oke punya, film ini gue rasa pantas gue pilih sebagai film terbaik yang gue tonton di semester ini.

Best Novel : DO

Ya, ini memang novel lama. Lama juga gue ngelihat novel ini dipajang di gramedia tanpa niat menyentuhnya sama sekali. Ini disebabkan karena gue udah nonton filmnya. Ga ada yang menarik dari filmnya. Gue bahkan ga menonton filmnya sampai setengah. Tiga(atau mungkin empat) tahun setelahnya, ada temen blogger gue yang bilang kalo film ma novel DO itu beda. Dia juga bilang kalo novel DO itu lucu. Gue pun membuktikannya sendiri. Dan ternyata dia ga salah. Ketika membaca synopsis dibelakang bukunya pun gue bisa tersenyum geli. Bahasanya mengalir dan humornya ga dipaksakan. Beda banget deh ma filmnya.

Best Manga : Crossgame

Ga ada yang menarik dari manga ini kecuali jalan ceritanya. Gue yakin, orang-orang akan sulit suka dengan manga ini jika hanya melihat cover atau gambar tokoh-tokohnya. Nothing special. Tapi itu semua langsung berubah ketika membaca volume pertamanya. Kita langsung disuguhi twist. Jempol deh buat Adachi mitsuru. Belum apa-apa gue udah dibuat sedih dan penasaran aja ma ni manga.

Best Java game: Kasparov chess

Ini game sederhana paling menyita waktu dan pikiran. Ada satu alasan kenapa gue ketagihan main game ini, yaitu Gue GA PERNAH Menang, bahkan di level Novice (satu level dibawah Intermediate) sekalipun. Biasanya gue selalu menang ngelawan sesame orang yang jarang main catur , nah di game ini, di level beginner aja gue kadang-kadang kalah. Beneran game yang sanagt penting untuk menunjukan apakah kita terlalu bego atau tidak. Mbehehe.

Yang terbaik dari semester 3 (Part 1: Music)

Selama semester 3, Intensitas gue mendengarkan musik bisa dibilang gila-gilaan. Sehari kadang 4 jam cuma untuk mendengarkan musik. Total lagu yang udah gue download di semester tiga ini mencapai angka 2000an lebih. Belum lagi lagu-lagu yang gue dapat dari teman-teman. Dan diantara 2000an lagu itu, inilah yang gue anggap terbaik.
